[May 14th, 2010]
Sorry I have confused some of you…I always run a little behind on the blog (check the dates at the beginning of the post!). I am currently in Buenos Aires and done riding in South America (this trip!). I packed up the Twisted DR and delivered it to the airport yesterday, and now I am just hanging out at Dakar Motos with other travelers and trying to catch up on my blog.

I arrive in Seattle May 19th in the morning. Hopefully the DR will arrive the same day and I can go directly to customs and retrieve her. I’ll spend a couple of days visiting friends in Seattle and ADVrder jeickerman has hooked me up with a hand specialist. Then it’s an 800 mile ride to meet up with my hunney in Rigby, Idaho…

    Hi Alisa,
Been following you silently for awhile now, but your plans to come to Seattle prompted me to give a shout out since I live here. Any way to buy you a coffee, tea, whatever, shake the unbroken hand, say hi and thanks to a fellow chick rider? You’ve got a couple of fans here for sure. Your travels inspired me to get a DR650 as well, which I’ve been enjoying thoroughly all over the western US for the past few months. Would love to meet you if you’ve got time. Thanks for all the great stories and photos! The only thing better than being an adventure gal is a moto adventure gal!
    Cheers and Happy Trails,
    B

You are looking great in your photos. So…. Seattle, and I am 10 minutes from the airport. I see you have lots of hook ups, and I am teaching full time up north, but if several folks plan a night out, I would love to be ‘in.”! I bought an S83 Suzuki, and boyfriend, who wanted nothing to do with my bike (ha ha) just bought a gorgeous Vulcan 900. We are both learning to ride them, a pretty funny site sometimes, when he kill ‘em taking off and get the gears messed up on hills, etc. So excited for good weather to get some more practice in.

Have you been to Rigby before? Gorgeous there! Been there twice to go white water rafting on the Salmon River.
    Chao, and God Speed.

like this, I submit my name is sebastian and I’m part of a group of bikers firefighters. Argentina on their way through my boss Jose Cornejo had the opportunity to talk with you and gave her his card and asked me to write him to see how we are doing.
of me wanted to congratulate you on your task and I keep in touch.
    congratulations.

if the text is confusing and I apologize that would translate on line and do not know if it will be very clear

hi there, was awesome reading your blog. my husband and i are now in costa rica sat on a beach. we are heading down to argentina in the next few months and are now planning out which route to take. we decided on a ferry from santiago to pto montt (a bit of a cheat hehe) and then from there to ushuaia. i got a question for you – how much of the road from santiago to ushuaia is paved and how much of it is gravel? we want to change tyres in santiago and if the roads down south are gravel we might just put knobbies on :p

    happy travels :)
    ride far ride fast
